Can Estrogen Cream Aid In Healing Of Vaginal Cuff?
I had a robotic assisted LAVH 8 weeks ago. The vaginal cuff is not healing quickly. I still have some dissolvable sutures in place. I saw a hormonal replacement therapy gyn today and she has given me estrogen cream 3 x a week to "aid in the healing of the cuff". The cuff looks good, no granulomas, certainly no signs of dehiscence. I'm a healthcare professional as you can surmise (RN) and am wondering IF estrogen cream does indeed aid in healing? I have my ovaries in still but they are "shot" right now. I'm on estrogel for the temporary estrogen shut down.
