Can Flexril And Methodone Be Taken While Suffering From Grave S Disease?

I have Grave disease and hyperparathyroidism and hyperthyroidism. I am taking Flexril and along with 10 years of methodone for Filbromyalgia and many spine issues. is this safe to take these meds. I was told a few days ago that there is a risk in taking methadone of heart issues that can be fatal. I as told that I should be getting annual EKG to find out my QTC( I believe that is correct) ratings.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Methadone cause prolonged qt interval and to develop Torsades de pointes. So graves disease patients already prone for arrhythmia then adding methadone may aggravate it so you may check up regular with ECG with your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
