Can Fludrocortisone Be Taken For Low BP While On Treatment For Pancreatitis?
My wife is being treated for pancreatitis. She does not smoke or drink alcohol. She is on Fludrocortisone .2 for low blood pressure. Should the Dr at the hospital start to reduce the dosage with the goal of getting her off Fludrocortisone. A serious side effect is listed below from the manufacturer website. pancreatitis (severe pain in your upper stomach spreading to your back, nausea and vomiting, fast heart rate

I really appreciate your concern, according to the diagnosis, clinical condition drug treatment being suggested because of the fear of side effect of drug if the condition being left without treatment then end result of the untreated disease would be more and more serious may be life threating so forget about the side effect once it is life saving or eradicates the infection or disease which may be life threatening hope this information helps
