Can Folsafe L Be Taken During Pregnancy?

My sister is on her first trimester and her gynecologist prescribed Folsafe L (Mecobalamin-1500mcg, L-Methylfolate-1mg, pyridoxal-5-Phosphate-0.5mg). I thought it has folic acid as she spoke about taking folic acid. But I learnt that Folsafe L does not contain folic acid. Is it safe to take Folsafe L ?

Hi, I think it is safe to take folsafe L. L methylfolate is active form of folic acid and mecobalamin and pyridoxal are other vitamins given in 1st trimester. So, she can take it till 1st 3 months and then she can be shifted to iron, calcium and vitamin supplements. Hope it helps.
