Can Fusidic Acid Help In Treating A Small Bump Behind Earlobe?
hi! im worried here.. my 5month and 2weeks daughter had her ear pierce when she was 3months old. the healing process is well. but awhile ago when i was about to change my daughter s earrings, i saw a small bump at the back of her earlobe and i dont know if with pus. and it has a foul smell. what should i do? i removed the earrings, cleaned it with alcohol. Can i apply fusidic cream? should i put back the earrings again? is it a sign of infection? thank you!
Fusidic acid is an antibacterial agent. It can be available as cream, ointment and drops. There are no major side effects noted in the cream and ointment. Your baby might have localized infection which may be cured with the topical antibiotic cream. Avoid earrings till the infection get cured.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
