Can Gabapentin Be Taken For Fibromyalgia Along With Other Medications?

I have just been prescribed this drug for fibromyalgia which I have had 20 years. Up to now I have used mind over matter as a form of dealing with the pain. I m 76 and take 3mg. of warfarin daily for DVT and PE which I have been hospitalize 3 times in 16 years. I also just started Losartan Pot 100 mg and have been taking Letrozole 2.5 mg for 3 years . I ve expect to take the last drug 2 more years. Now...will Gabapentin 400 MG mix with the other drugs AND will it truly end the FB pain . I am not a pill taker. Look forward to your reply.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, Gabapentin can be used for pain in fibromyalgia. If gabapentin is still not relieving the pain seek your doctor for dose adjustment because the dose can increased according to the response.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
