Can Gabapentin Cause Swelling In Feet, Dark Yellow Urine With Burning Urination?
I have been taking gabapentin 3x dily for a mnth aprox suddenly my feet are swelling and my urine turned dark yellow and burnes and my output has dropped to 3 or 4 times daiy and then very little, I take lasik and metalozone with diuretic as i have congestive heart faliure and stage 3 kidney problems, the gabapentin is for sever spinal stenosis
After going through your question, I can understand your concern.
It is extremely rare for gabapentin to cause these type of side effect.
You should seek urgent medical attention, as these symptoms may be due to Acute KidneyInjury which may be aggravation of of your stage 3 kidney problem. Which may be due to- 1) Decompensation of your congestive heart failure. 2) Any infection. 3) Drug induced.
You should visit ER for immediate clinical evaluation depending upon it there may be need for immediate hospitalization and further evaluation for the cause of acute kidney injury and cardiac evaluation and appropriate treatment.
Hope this helps you.
