Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been under secondary infertility treatment past 4 months (with Getofit taken every month). Today I see some bleeding (17th day of Gestofit medication) and feel like I will get periods if I stop Gestofit. May I know is this normal or abnormal behavior? How can I get bleeding when I am under Gestofit medication? Thanks
Of course you can get a period whilst on gestofit, it is a synthetic form of the hormone progesterone which your doctor has most probably prescribed to you just to help regularise your menstrual cycle and for no other reason. If you do get your period, and it occurs within the normal expected range of a period, then you should be happy about it. For further information, contact your prescribing doctor.
Best wishes.
