Can HIV Be Contracted Through Protected Sex?

Hello Doctor I had an exposure on 1st September,it was a protected handjob with CSW,at the time of handjob I had not seen any blood on her hand, but after2 weeks of exposure I got sore throat ,I still have it,so I went to check that lady s hand, there was a cut mark on her index finger, Is it possible to get HIV if her blood of cut came in contact with condom and then my uretha?? I got non reactive result of combo test after 22 days,do I need further testing? Please answer my question

Hello,

If the condom you were wearing stayed intact, there would not be any chance of you getting HIV. Even if the condom was not intact, you would be very unlikely to get HIV from this unless blood was visibly coming from her hand. Since a sore throat can have many different causes, that would not make me more concerned about HIV, so I don't think you need to worry about it. On top of that, a combo test at 22 days is probably over 90% accurate, so that further confirms you don't have HIV, and I do not think you need further testing.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
