Can HIV Be Contracted Through Withdrawal Method Intercourse?
Hi, I m female and I just had an unprotected vaginal sex few days ago. Obviously i m worrying about the HIV transmission. Is it true that the risk is actually tiny especially when he didn t ejaculate inside? and is it worth it to go for rapid test within 4 weeks after exposure before finishing the window period which is in 3 months.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... HIV can be contracted through withdrawal method of intercourse. Even when you have unprotected sex with withdrawal method, HIV transmission could take place through blood, pre-ejaculation or other body fluids & HIV virus could enter your body. However chances of that are very less. Transmission of HIV through unprotected vaginal sex is only approximately 1%. You can get tested for HIV sooner with less accurate results. Early detection tests can sometimes identify the virus as soon as three weeks after exposure.Get retested after 3 months to confirm your initial test results. At the end we can say that you should go for rapid test. Be careful next time, use condom for protection against HIV & other STDs.
Do not worry you would be fine Hope this information will help you.
