HIV can spread easily through an abraded skin rather than an intact skin. It is not matter whether it it was associated with bleeding or not. A break in epithelium makes the HIV transmission easily. Vaginal or Anal intercourse with an abrasion over genital skin has high risk for HIV whereas abrasion other than genitals carries only negligible risk for HIV. Dr S.Murugan
