Can HIV Infection Spread By Sharing A Common Toilet?
Hello I have a question. I was in a public toilet and the tap was broken. I opened it but couldn t close. A great deal of water splashed first on the ground and then on me. My shoe and sock was soaked with water. I saw an old wound when I took of my sock. Since the toilet floor was a wet place is it possible HIV virus in any bodily fluids ( semen, vaginal secretions, blood etc.) live there assuming the toilet was used 2 min. before me and possibly by a HIV+ person. I would be grateful if you could answer my question thanks in advance.
There are only 4 routes of transmission of HIV, 1- Unprotected sex with a known HIV positive person 2- sharing a needle with a known HIV positive person 3- Blood transfusion from a known HIV positive person 4- If a HIV positive mother gives birth to a baby any thing other than these can not transmit HIV infection by any chance so please rest assured that there is no possibility of you getting HIV infection through current incidence.
