Can HPT Results Being Negative Post Missed Periods Be Relied Upon?
Hi Doctor, I need some help. I have been showing all symptoms of pregnancy and I dont know if it was my ovulation cycle that started late or what, but I ve taken 4 tests. Two of them were way to early, one was diluted, and the 4th was a negative.. but i dont know if I should trust the test or not. I feel as if I am more then likely pregnant and im scared of what might be wrong with me if im not. Ive missed two periods already and I know its not stress. Because I have never had an irregular period and Ive had way more stress before then I do now.
s per my clinical experience, 4 consecutive home pregnancy tests would not be false negative at all. The root cause sounds to be hormone imbalance from various reasons and not just the stress. You must consult your OBGYN for possible guidelines in this instance as to induce menses or evaluate with ultrasound of the pelvis to look into the minute details of the cause.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
