Can HSV 1 Cause Mood Swings?

I was diagnosed with hsv 1 on the genitals several months ago. I have had many out breaks since, and have noticed the day before each outbreak an extreme mood swing. Is that a normal symptom? The last mood swing, last night, i felt like I was literally going insane, and woke this morning to an outbreak.
