Hi, I'm male and aged 34. I have had a hemorrhoid that I first noticed 3 days ago. It appears to a prolapsed hemorrhoid or perhaps an external hemorrhoid that joins with an internal. Anyway, I have been 1)icing the area, 2) sitting in a tub of warm water (sitz bath) 3) using tucks pads to clean the area and then finally 4) applying preparation H on the area and inside the rectum. I have read to keep the area dry but if i'm applying and keeping preparation H on it then it's not dry. It isn't hurting much but I just want it to completely shrink. Is it better to keep using preparation h or keep the area dry?Can you give me any other suggestions to speed up the shrinking?How long should it take?
