Can I Ask To Be Frozen To Re-dress The Extremely Painful Wound Due To Removal Of Sebaceous Cyst From The Neck?
Hi, I am a 39yr old male and had a sebaceous cyst removed from the back of my neck 2 days ago, I went today for follow up and had the wound dressed as the cyst still needed to drain. There was no freezing used and it was extremely painful. I have to go back tomorrow for follow and possible re-dressing. Can I ask to be frozen first? The doctor who performed the initial removal 2 days ago used freezing. Thanks

After the surgery the dressing being done in simple way without any freezing method or without giving any local anaesthetic medicine, because this will destruct the healing granular tissues, and the healing process could be late, so it is better to have simple dressing, and this will bring the healing very fast so nothing to worry about this have nice day.
