Hi, I have Gestational Diabetes during my pregnancy . My infant son is 6 months old and I am using formula: ‘Similac Sensitive’ for him. However I have just come to know that Cow’s milk formula are of higher risk for Type-1 diabetes. But all the formula are of cow milk based..please advise me on this? Can I continue using cow milk formula? Or Do I need to switch to Buffalow milk? Please advise.
You can continue using cow milks formula. There is no harm. Buffalow milk and cow milk are similar except that buffalow milk contains a lot of extra fat in them. DO remember to pasteurize the milk before u feed the child

Hello
Welcome to Hcm
Breast milk is the best for baby.if due to any reason it is not possible then diluted cows milk or formula can be given.buffalo milk is not suitable for babys gut.so even if it carries some risk of obesity and other disorders it is the prefable option after breast milk.
Thank you
