Can I Get Vaccinated For HPV Past The Recommended Age Of 21?

I am a straight 25 year old male who has never been sexually active. I would like to get vaccinated for HPV. How can I do this when I am past the recommended age of 21? I have already attempted to get vaccinated at a CVS location but was told no unless I was someone who had sex with men.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

HPV vaccine is recommended for young women through age 26, and young men through age 21.

By that time you have had enough exposure that you are probably already exposed to the virus and won't benefit.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
