Can I Give Calpol To My Toddler After Giving Meftal P As The Fever Is Still High?

Hi, my child is 3.9 years old got fever 103F , I had given meftal P suspension 6 ml at 8pm, fever didn’t reduce again 2nd dose at 2pm still fever is there… actually it’s first time am giving meftal to my baby.. what should I give now for fever reduction? I felt meftal is not suiting in reducing fever, can I give calpol only, if yes when should I give because last time I gave meftal was at 2am midnight
