Can I Go Back To Work With Fractured Bone In Top Right Side Of My Right Foot?

Hi I broke a bone in the top right side of my right foot last Friday. I did not know it was broken until Tuesday. They told me it was only sprained. I now have an air cast and was told crutches were up to me. I haven t been using them. I work in a school and the doctor told me if I feel up to it I could go back to work on Tuesday. What is your opinion about the crutches and work? Thank you!

Hello,

In my opinion, you should wait more to bear weight on affected foot. At present you may walk with crutches without bearing weight on your foot. Bones take at least 3 weeks for union, in case of lower limb time is little more so please take precautions.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
