Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Sir, Yours is a great and noble service. I underwent TURP about an year ago. I am a male aged 73. I have sex about twice a week. Erections are normal. Should I discontinue intercourse with my wife? Of course there is no discharge externally. If at all there is, it goes to the bladder, it is said. Some say if I don't have sex, I can be impotent. Please answer me. Thank you. hello user , i understand your concerns . one can resume sexual activities after about 4 weeks of prostate surgery - there is no harm in doing intercourse after this period - retrograde ejaculation to bladder do occurs , but in itself it does not pose a problem except a cloudy urine due to missing of semen - also if you choose not to have sex , there is no risk of impotency due to that too . Take care
