Can I Rely On Candid B Lotion For Infection On Penis?
I have infection on my penis, this is after the head on the penis, on the skin which when I pull back is more prominently seen. This is red in color. I have applied Candid B lotion and seen dermatalogist. One of them had conducted all the HIV related tests and it was negative. I am 30 years old married male. I am just wonderting if I should consult a dermatalogists ot some other doctor. The area had slight pain and itching problem, which is gone after applying Candid B. I initially applied Onabet but that was of no use. The area is red in color.
Hello and welcome to HCM. Your concern is understandable. As an Urologist, let me caution you against self-medication. It can have serious side-effects. If there's redness over the head of penis,, it's usually due to severe inflammation or infection, and one possibility is fungal infection, which needs testing to be confirmed. Safest is to see your doctor, who will examine it and give you proper advice. Maintain good penile hygiene. Hope your doubt is cleared. Wish you well.
