Hi,
Growth or lengthening of the
limbs occurs due to changes that happen at the growth plates. When bone is added there, while the plates are open then height and length increases. The growth plates unfortunately close during
puberty in the majority of persons and do not reopen. This means that after their closure, further lengthening of bones cannot occur, unfortunately and further height is not possible.
Our final height is determined by genetics, health, environment etc., but genetics is the main driving force. By increasing your energy output (running), you may actually lose weight (not height), if you do not make sure to eat enough to make up for it. I am sorry that you are not comfortable with your height but after puberty, growth stops.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
