Can I Take Ascard Tablet For Heart-related Issues, But Without Prescription?

Hi. I am 53 years and my mums family has a history of heart attacks. Is there a likelihood that I may have inherited the condition? The condition has affected all her sisters and they have died of it. My mother also has survived two heart attacks. Is it okay for me to take ascard daily?

Hello,

* Ascard (Aspirin 75 mg) is a blood thinner and platelet modulator agent.

* As there is family history of heart attacks, it is not the issue that you start taking aspirin without consulting your family physician.

Immediately book an appointment with your family doc who will decide to whether you require cardiologist evaluation and aspirin consumption or not.

There are lot many side effects associated with the use of such medicine and the same should not be initiated on assumption basis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
