Can I Take Coricidin Or Diabetic Tussin?

I am a hypertensive diabetic with asthma & a history of chronic bronchitis. I ve also had pneumonia five times in the past twenty years. I am currently dealing with what feels like the tail end of a bronchitis episode. I ve coughed until my chest & abdominal muscles are sore. Other than my regular asthma inhalers (as prescribed/needed), I have only used sugar free cough drops. I know the dangers of mixing OTC meds with the conditions that I have. Would Coricidin or Diabetic Tussin be okay to take for the cough at this point?

You can do some blood counts and repeat chest xray and can have a short course of antibiotic and tab acebrophylline for few days as bronchodialator and you can continue taking sugar free cough formula and can try a 5 day short course of deflazacort (steroids with lesser side effects) :) get well soon :)
