Can I Take Dolo And Monocef For High Fever And Chills?
My son aged 19 years is suffering from high fever since yesterday noon. Initially he has complained of chill and shivering which lasted for 3 to 4 hours. Initially the temperature was 102 degrees F. We started using tablets DOLO 650 mg. and Monocef-O 200 mg. from night. Now the tempertaure is around 100. Shall we continue to use them ?

He might be suffering from Viral fever.
Since you have started him on the medications, continue with them for 5 days.
But if fever persists, get him evaluated and if required testing would be done.
Maintain good hydration.
Do cold sponging for fever.
Tab Dolo can be given Three times a day initially, later can be given as on when required basis.
