Can I Take Amoxicillin During Pregnancy?

Hi there, a month ago I went to the dentist as I need my root canal doing, my dentist gave me amoxicillin 500mg I m currently 36 weeks pregnant and only just received this medication am I still ok to take this as I m still in a lot of pain with my mouth?

Amoxicillin is averagely safe to be taken during pregnancy, but your dental procedure should have been done later as you are already 36 weeks. Anyway, please inform your doctor about all medications you are prescribed before taking them. Amoxicillin will only help prevent infections, and the pain will not be controlled with the help of this medication either way.
