Citalopram is a SSRI which is used to treat depression. there have been case reports of interaction between Citalopram and ginko biloba. The effects of the interaction are not very common and these include: 1) Self-injurious Ideation 2) Depression 3) Haemorrhoids 4) Rectal Cancer 5) Tachypnoea 6) Prothrombin Time Shortened 7) Sputum Discoloured 8) Rales Since their occurrence is rare, you can take the combination and be watchful for these above signs. you can stop the drug if you notice any of these interactions.
