Can I Take Ginkgo Biloba While Taking Tri-Sprintec Birth Control Pill?
I just started Tri-Sprintec a birthcontrol pill about a week ago. I am a college student and i want to start taking ginkgo biloba and B6 etc.. but I m a little concerned it might affect the effect of the birthcontrol. May I take the ginkgo biloba anyway? I am 22 years old, I weigh about 230lbs 5 10
Tri-Sprintec contains 2 hormones: a progestin and an estrogen. This combination of hormones is used to prevent pregnancy. This medication may interact with other medication like Tamoxifen, Rifampin, Carbamazepine but do not interfere with vitamin B6, multivitamins or ginkgo biloba. Anyway, I suggest to discuss with your treating physician before you start taking every other medication at the same time with your birth control pills.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
