hi im 17 years old my boyfriend and i had protected sex but the condom broke so i went to my doctor and got the plan B pill and asked for a precription for birth control i am already been on it but i missed a couple days and just stayed off it. Anyways i took plan B and there was no spotting or anything and my doctor told me i could go back on my birth control in two days so i did and a week went by and there was still no spotting. Into the second week i started bleeding and now it wont stop im now in the forth week and stopped taking the birth control cause im worried about it. how do i make it stop or what is wrong???
Plan B is less effective if taken during the time of ovulation. Therefore, if you have contacted without protection during your ovulation there are chances that Plan B fails. Since you have been having continuous bleeding please get a pregnancy test done as soon as possible. Even if card test is negative please do a blood test - beta HCG and also your blood counts. If the results are normal then you can consider taking hormonal pills to stop bleeding. Please get with the test results.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
