Can I Take Suboxone With Tramadol? Have Pain After Back Surgery

I have been taking suboxone for about 10 days and feel fine, except that there is no relief from the pain from back surgery. Can I take suboxone and tramadol together or why not just take tramadol. I don't want to take opiates because of the side effects. Thank you for your time and attention.

Suboxone contains Buprenorphine which is an opioid partial agonist/antagonist which binds to the μ (mu) and κ (kappa) receptors of the brain. It is used to prevent opioid dependence.Tramadol when used for short term will not cause dependence hence you not to take along with tramadol.

Suboxone is not a pain killer hence there is no use of it if used alone.

For your pain relief you can take tramadol along with paracetamol.It will give better relief from pain.

To minimize side effects of tramadol,you can take the tablet half hour before food.Domperidone can be used for nausea caused by tramadol.
