Can I Take Trigestral To Regulate Period Despite Experiencing Headaches And Mood Swings?

Hi. I have unregular periods and started using trigestral to regulate my period. Will this help? I started it in 2010 and stopped using it for 6 months but was still unregular, started again and went off because i think is also makes me moody. I also have headaches that lasts days. Could it be the pills that causes the headaches? It does wonders for my skin though, no more breakouts. Is it healthy to continue with this?

Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
Yes, your suspicion is right. Trigestral is a hormonal drug and it does cause mood swings and headaches. You are not tolerating it well and it would be better to doscontinue taking it. Do discuss the option of discontinuing the drug with your treating doctor who had started you on trigesteral.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
