Hi,
Welcome to HCM forum.
There are innumerable methods of getting fair and in India everybody wants to get fair. What one needs is the simplest and safest method for the same as many of these can have serious side effects. Regarding Brite cream it contains Only
Hydroquinone in it and does not contain
steroid or
Retinoic acid in it. So the question of side effects ( of hair growth etc.) of steroid or Retinoic acid is out.
Now regarding particularly about Hydroquinone its main effect is definitely bleaching effect. It can be used both by men and women on face. Regarding the safety issues as with any other medicated cream if you use in higher amount will be producing
redness and so is also true with this cream also. So it is always better to use this/any cream under strict medical supervision.
Currently, the short answer seems to be that it depends on how you use it. To minimize any potential side effects, never use hydroquinone creams in different ways than recommended by your
Dermatologist or the manufacturer (such as ingesting or over-application of the cream). Despite the controversy over hydroquinone’s safety, there have apparently been no reports of anyone developing serious side effects from hydroquinone—in over 50 years of cosmetic use as a skin whitener as stated by USFDA .
