Can I Use Clomid And Bromergon For The Missed Periods With HPT Negative?
my last period was 24th of Nov 2013, and i did hormonal profile on d 21st day of my circle in which my my progesterone level is high but d prolactin and fsh are okay, but have not seen my period since December 2013 .and i did pregnancy test it was negative. my question is can i use clomid and bromergon to rectify d problem? , please advice
Progesterone levels can be raised not only in pregnancy but also in second half of the menstrual cycle. So that may be the reason for your high progesterone levels with negative pregnancy test. As your serum prolactin levels were normal, you may not need Bromergon.
Now you better consult your gynecologist once, get examined and go for blood test for pregnancy, which can rule out the possibility accurately. Then you can go for ultrasound once to find out other possible causes of irregular periods like Poly cystic ovary disease, blood investigations like thyroid profile, Anti mullerian hormonal levels etc. After that you can use clomiphene citrate with your doctor's advice for ovulation induction.
