Dr, last October I had for the first time an outbreak of anal herpes. My dr prescribed a cream and tablets Valtrex 500 mg to take at the onset of a future outbreak. My question is related to the cream. This morning I awoke with irritation around aal area which felt pimple like. I have an ointment called Kenacomb and wanted to know if this was what I should use to keep it from getting worse if it is in fact herpes again. I have a few ointments for dermititis and can t remember if Kenacomb was the one prescribed to help me get through the outbreak. Your advice would be gratefully appreciated. I am 54 yrs, 5ft 8, around 11 stone. Thank you kindly,
