Can I Use Vicks Inhaler During Pregnancy?

Hi Doctor, i am 10weeks pregnant and i have had a bad cold now for the past three weeks, i have taken fresh ginger roots and lemon to ease the cough. My problem is the blocked nostrils i can hardly breath, i have been using vicks inhaler can it harm my unborn baby/

Hello,

Yes, you can take VICKS inhaler during pregnancy and it is quite safe. If nasal block still persists, then you should consult with your doctor. You may need to take oxymetazoline group of drug as nasal drop for the same.

You should avoid dust and household allergen, drink slight warm water or hot milk and boost natural immunity with seasonal fruits & healthy protein rich diet. Good luck.
