General & Family Physician 's  Response
Ibuprofen, if consumed after 30 weeks of gestation, is associated with an increased risk of premature closure of the fetal ductus arteriosus which is blood vessel. Premature closure of ductus arteriosus causes heart problems and sometimes intrauterine death of baby. It is used in pregnancy only if the maternal benefits outweigh the baby risks. Anyway, you have consumed unknowingly. Hope everything should be fine. Be in touch with your obstetrician and tell her/him about this so that she/he can take all necessary precautions while delivering the baby.
Thanks
