Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a male and have used Ketamine on and off for the past couple of years. I have recently been suffering during sexual intercourse where I can only stay errect for a certain amount of time (usually not for long periods) I was wondering if this will be reversible now I am off the drug or if there is any medication I need to take to improve this matter. Age 20, 182 pounds, 190cm
Ketamine is basically a dissociative anesthetic commonly used in medical settings and rarely used recreationally. While there is limited research specifically investigating the effects of ketamine on sexual function, some studies suggest that high doses or chronic use of ketamine may potentially lead to temporary erectile dysfunction. However, more research is needed to fully understand the relationship between ketamine use and erectile dysfunction.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
