Can LSIL Lead To HPV?

I got a letter in the mail, saying i have lsil (low grade sqaumos intraepthial lesion) ... im 16 i just want to know is it always that its hpv, im really scared and i dont want to tell my boyfriend, ill never live it down, im just really upset and anxious

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. HPV can lead to LSIL. Close follow up is necessary. However, inflammatory atypia due to infection can also be sometimes called as LSIL.
2. You can get yourself vaccinated against HPV strains, thereby avoiding future infections and risk of malignancy.
3. Get repeat smear after a month for confirmation. If required, biopsy can be taken. Not to worry. At your age, it is more commonly inflammatory atypia.
