Can Lactogen Be Given Instead Of Pro Nan Formula To Twin Infants?

Sir, I have twins (Boy & Girl),,,,, 17 months old... I am at present giving Pro Nan 3 at night time for two times..... In day time, they are taking solid home made foods.... Actually Pro Nan is costlier to Lactogen........ Can I switch over to Lactogen ? or not ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there,

Yes, at their age, they are starting to transition over to solid foods, and formula feeds are less critical to their total intake. This makes it less risky if they were to refuse it entirely, or react badly to it. I would advise you to do it slowly to minimise any protests from them. Mix half of the old formula and half of the new one, and slowly transition over a week or two. Make sure that you buy the one that is appropriate for their age group.

Hope this helps, and all the best to you and your kids.

Regards,
Dr. Teh
