Can Lamotrigine Cause Powerful Myoclonic Jerks?
Hello, my psychiatrist put me on lamotrigine and I soon started having myoclonic jerks when trying to fall asleep the jerks are sudden and powerful they pull me into a fetal position, Because I have FMS and degenerative spine disorder I wake up screaming every time. The pain is out of this world and renders my legs useless for a time. can the med have caused this i stopped the med 2 months why are the jerks still with me, even when i try to take a nap it happens.

I really appreciate your concern, what ever the symptoms are given here could be due to functional condition that you have and not due to medicines in my opinion try to come out of this without the help of medicines and you can do this, try to bring back your confidence keep your moral high, trust your self, everything would be fine soon, take care.
