Can Leptaden Be Taken To Increase Breast Milk Production?

I delivered 3 months back and have been breastfeedin my baby successfully.. However i wud wanna increase my milk production since baby feeds a lot now and dont want milk to be less and dont wanna give formula milk.. Can i take leptaden tablets now and how much of it to take?

Hi,

First of all congratulations for being a mom. After 3 months baby needs more milk and to meet the increasing demands you can leptaden tablets twice daily for 2-4 weeks. Then you can stop taking for 2 weeks. again take for another 2 weeks. Your milk production will be augmented. I would suggest the following to lactating mothers to increase milk production and well being of baby and mother:
1) Eat garlic frequently in your diet. It is a natural product to increase your breast milk
2) Eat healthy and nutritious food without any restrictions
3) Please take calcium tablets at least for 6 months to prevent early onset of osteoporosis
4) Administer vitamin D drops to baby (You can have a word with your pediatrician regarding this)
5) Mother must drink more milk for calcium supplement
