Can Levodopa, Ropinirole, Gabapentin And Synthroid Be Taken Together?

I have been taking levo dopa for Parkinsons for 8 years to help with the shakes. I went from 1 pill a 3 times a day to 2 pills every 3 hours. Now my doc wants me to reduce the doses. I have back pain too and for lumbar stenosis and am talking bot Ropinirole and Gabapentin 2 pills 3 times a day. also for thyroid I take synthroid I take .125 once a day. Does this seem to be a whole lot of meds. Terry

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

While taking many drugs is never desirable and the fewer the better, looking at the drugs you mention I would say there is no harmful interaction between them. Levodopa and Ropinirole are very commonly used together for Parkinsons and the addition of Gabapentin or Synthroid doesn't add any interaction side effects, they can be taken together.
