Can Lexapro Be Taken While On Using Dihydroergotamine Mesylate Nasal Spray?
I am currently taking dihydroergotamine mesylate nasal 4mg when I have a migraine headache. Recently my obgyn prescribed me Lexapro 10mg for anxiety. I m reading that I should be concerned when taking both these drugs. How concerned do I need to be?
Lexapro and dihydroergotamine both increase the levels of serotonin. This is the reason that the interaction can potentially be associated with problems.
It is possible that you would not have any issues with the combination but both you and your doctor would need to monitor for any signs or symptoms associated with this condition. These symptoms/signs include confusion, increased heart rate and blood pressure, tremors, agitation, muscle twitching
I hope this helps

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic Lexapro and dihydroergotamine both increase the levels of serotonin. This is the reason that the interaction can potentially be associated with problems. Very high serotonin levels can sometimes cause serotonin syndrome. It is possible that you would not have any issues with the combination but both you and your doctor would need to monitor for any signs or symptoms associated with this condition. These symptoms/signs include confusion, increased heart rate and blood pressure, tremors, agitation, muscle twitching I hope this helps
