Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Poor appetite of their kids and refusal to feed is a common complaint among most mothers. For kids between 2 to 6 years, appetite increase and decrease according to age and energy levels. If
weight loss accompanies your toddler'S loss of appetite, then you must consult Paediatrician to identify the cause & correct it.
Hence, giving
Liv 52 might not help much to improve appetite. You can supplement with
multivitamin with zinc syrup instead. De-worming would also be a good thing to do.
Along with it you can try and do the following:
1. Offer food that is also has a good visual appearance.
2. Do not argue or scold the children during the mealtime.
3. Adjust the meal timings so that you serve food only when your child is hungry.
4. Encourage your child to make healthy food choices.
5. Serve small portions of food at regular intervals.
Do not force your child to eat when not hungry and insist on finishing the food completely what is being served.
If your child is healthy, happy and can sleep well, then there is no need to worry. Keep a watch on growth and eating habits as prolonged loss of appetite and poor growth needs medical attention.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
