Can MRI Guided Focused Treatments Help Eliminating Fibroids Instead Of Going For Hysterectomy?

I have been suffering from fibroids for almost 1 1/2 yrs. I have prolonged periods of bleeding 3+ weeks which is very heavy for most of the time. A hysterectomy has been recommended to me but I really don't want to have one as I worry about the affects of not having a uterus. I have grown children, so pregnancy is not an issue. I am concerned about hormone loss, and changes to my sex life (unfounded concerns??). I have been looking into MRI Guided Focused treatments and am very excited about the possibility of this procedure. My fibroids are within the uterine wall, inside my uterus and outside. I believe I have 2 which are 4-6 cm. Any info would be appreciated.

1) Yes. MRI guided treatment is effective in treating fibroids rather than hysterectomy.
2) You can consider laparoscopic removal; of fibroids rather than hysterectomy.
