Hi dear thanks for writing to HCM!! can understand the concern. Be relax Macgest contains a hormone progesterone which also produced in normal body it helps and prescribed in maintenance of pregnancy and full time fetal growth and to prevent complication such as miscarriage and given in the pregnant woment in whom it is low. It is an essential hormone and usually prescribed for 10-12 weeks. It is also used in hormone replacement therapy with limited side effects like nausea, cramps, flatulence, bloating but all are temporary and manageable. Please take under gynaecologist observation only. Hope this information helps Thanks and regards Dr.Sohil Takodara
