Can Meftal 500 Be Used As An SOS Medication?

Sir, my son, age 14 weight 70 kg , suffering from 103.8 to 101.7 range high fever from last 4 days. Yesterday NS 1 REPORT of DENGU fever give 4.3 reading. My physician suggest Maftal 500 ,SOS, to break long term of fever. Please inform me if I can use it as Sos medicine. By P.P. SRIVASTAVA GHAZIABAD UP INDIA

Yes, you can use it as an SOS medicine for your son to ease the high temperature and pain, but you have to be aware, because this medicine may irritate the gastric mucosa.

Suggest your son to sallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it and take it with food.

Inform your doctor if your son have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems.
