Can Meftal P Be Given For High Fever?
My child who is about 6yrs old is having fever since 24 hrs & is prescribed mefenamic acid suspension Meftal p & polyclinics & has been given 2 doses of 5ml& 7 Ml respectively but now also he is having fever 104 degree so what should I do can I give a dose of Meftal as I have already given him 2doses in last 12 hrs so pleasesuggest

My opinion is that Meftal P usually given for high fever. its effect last for 24 hours. as you had already given 2 doses don't give it any more now. Do Tepid sponging with lukewarm water. If fever still not subsided consult your pediatrician for IV paracetamol.
