Hello,
Thank you for your query.
Yes,
meftal-p can be given for
fever. The dose depends on her weight.
However as she has loose stools and a stomach ache, I would advice a plain paracetamol/
acetaminophen preparation like
tylenol.
Please consult her doctor before administering medications.
I recommend:
-proper rehydration with fluid and electrolytes (oral rehydration solutions). Gatorade can also help.
-monitor her Hydration status (light coloured urine at least 4-5 times a day, wet tongue, tears while crying)
-give light, bland easily digestible steamed or boiled foods. Smaller quantity but more frequently.
-avoid milk, sugar, carbonated drinks.
If she continues to have fever for more than two days or her stools become green or blood tinged or you are unable to rehydrate adequately, please take her to her doctor.
Hope this helps
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you good health
